Speaker Emerita Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) believes Vice President Kamala Harris won an open primary to be the Democratic nominee in the 2024 presidential election. Pelosi made the comments earlier this week during an interview for a “Principals Live” event hosted by Semafor’s Kadia Goba.

WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., claimed Wednesday Vice President Kamala Harris won an “open primary” to earn her spot atop the Democratic presidential ticket.

Pelosi praised Harris for handling the debate effectively and criticized Donald Trump’s performance. She said, “I have high standards for how those answers are handled and was very, very proud of her. She did very well. He was a mess. He lost – and that’s why he doesn’t want to debate again.”
