Former Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi insisted on Wednesday that her party's presidential nominating process after President Biden dropped out was "open," and Vice President Kamala Harris "won it.

WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., claimed Wednesday Vice President Kamala Harris won an “open primary” to earn her spot atop the Democratic presidential ticket.

Pelosi praised Harris for handling the debate effectively and criticized Donald Trump’s performance. She said, “I have high standards for how those answers are handled and was very, very proud of her. She did very well. He was a mess. He lost – and that’s why he doesn’t want to debate again.”
