Alvin Kamara is just 12 yards away from breaking Mark Ingram’s record as the New Orleans Saints all time rusher. With such a short distance to go, it is almost a foregone conclusion Kamara will break the record against the Atlanta Falcons.

Kamara came into the Saints’ Week 10 game against the Atlanta Falcons needing just 12 yards to break Mark Ingram’s franchise record for career rushing yards. The Saints star running back broke the mark with just over 12 minutes left in the first quarter.

In the 10 th game of the 2024 season and the 111 th game of his eight-year NFL career, Kamara became the all-time leading rusher in Saints history. He entered the game 12 yards short of Mark Ingram II's total of 6,500 yards; Kamara's record-breaking carry was a 7-yard run in the first quarter, his second carry of the game.
